Many months ago, the island of El Hierro began shaking with the onset of thousands of earthquakes, and has not stopped since. My interest in the geophysical Earth inspired me to write a ‘what-if’, or ‘worst case scenario’ of the island region causing a massive tsunami sweeping across the Atlantic, given the region’s ancient history, “300 Foot Tsunami and East Coast Destruction“. Although the prospect of such a tsunami may be a bit overly dramatic, nonetheless it appears that something is happening under the sea in the El Hierro region.
